U.S. Director of Counter Narcotics meets with U.S. and Bahamian law enforcement officials

During his June 15, 2007 visit to Nassau, the Department of Homeland Security's Director of Counter Narcotics, Uttam Dhillon, met with representatives of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, the Royal Bahamas Defense Force and Bahamas Customs. Mr. Dhillon serves as the primary policy advisor to the Secretary of Homeland Security for Department-wide counternarcotics issues. He is responsible for developing policies that will unify the Department's counternarcotics activities and coordinates efforts to monitor connections between illegal drug trafficking and terrorism. Mr. Dhillon traveled to The Bahamas to meet with local officials to discuss joint U.S./Bahamian efforts to fight drug trafficking.
