Visa Application Fee

Effective January 1, 2008, application fees for Non-Immigrant Visas increased from $100 to $131.  Applicants pay a fee of $131 to process the visa application.  If the visa is refused or you abandon your application, the fee is not refunded.  Please remember to bring exact change on the day of your visa interview.  Click here for additional information.

Applicants for diplomatic visas (A, G, C-3, and NATO) and exchange visitors sponsored by the U.S. Department of State are exempt from paying the application fee.

Reciprocity Fee

In some cases, you may pay a reciprocity fee after a visa has been authorized, but before the visa can be issued.  Reciprocity fees vary by the type of visa and the nationality of the applicant.  It is based on the charge of your government for U.S. citizens to receive a similar visa in your country.  Visit the Department of State’s Reciprocity Fee Website to see if you will be required to pay a reciprocity fee.

How to Pay your Fee

You may pay by cash, certified check or postal money order.  Cash needs to be all in one currency (all Bahamian or all U.S. dollars, not mixed) and in the exact amount.
