On January 21st the United States will observe the birthday of the late Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Ambassador Ned L. Siegel is proud to welcome Antwone Fisher to the Bahamas to help celebrate Dr. King's legacy and to share his own personal story of struggle and success in overcoming difficult life circumstances.
Mr. Fisher is a Hollywood director, screenwriter, author and film producer. His best selling memoir, Finding Fish, is the inspiring story of his incredible life's journey. The film, Antwone Fisher, based on Fisher's life and written by Fisher himself reflects on his life as a sailor in the United States Navy and as a child growing up as a ward of the State of Ohio. He survived an abusive foster care situation and homelessness and was set on a course of healing after joining the United States Navy where he served his country for eleven years.
