 The Hardts with Love 97 FM reporters

U.S.  Charge d'Affaires hosts reception for the Bahamian media

On Saturday, September 29, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Dr. D. Brent Hardt and Mrs. Saskia Hardt hosted the Public Affairs Section’s quarterly media reception at the Ambassador’s Residence at Liberty Overlook.  Sixty representatives from the print and broadcast media attended the event, from the following media outlets:  Cable 12 Television, The Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas ZNS TV-13, JCN Channel 14, The Nassau Guardian, The Bahama Journal, The Tribune, GEMS 105.9 FM, Love 97 FM and Island 102.9 FM

In his brief remarks Chargè Hardt thanked the press for their active coverage of Embassy events and activities in The Bahamas.  He noted that the media’s fair and comprehensive reporting helps to promote the strong bilateral relationship that exists between The Bahamas and the United States.  He informed the media that Ned L. Siegel, U.S. Ambassador-designate to The Bahamas is expected to arrive in The Bahamas in early November.
