During their recent visit to Nassau to explore tertiary education in The Bahamas, members of the American Council on Education (ACE) Fellows Program, accompanied by Valdez Russell The College of The Bahamas (COB) International Relations Liaison met with U.S. Chargé d’Affaires John Dinkelman on January 12.

The four ACE Fellows, representing colleges and universities throughout the United States, received an overview of the U.S. Embassy’s role in The Bahamas and obtained insights on the student visa process from the Chief of the U.S. Embassy’s Consular Section, John Armstrong.  The group also discussed ways to strengthen The Bahamas’ ties to U.S. universities as part of President Obama’s 100,000 Strong in the Americas initiative, which aims to foster greater diversity in international study and ensure students throughout the Caribbean are prepared for the 21st Century global workforce.
